I returned his keys. All three of them. I locked myself out of his castle.

Every time I passed by a beggar, I struggled.

Should I give him/her some money? He/she looks poor/old/physically challenged. I’m the lucky one. I should help.

The Internet gives us extra-sensory perception.

We can talk to people miles away, hear our beloved ones on a different continent, or even reach out to people we could never reach before (say, the President, or a friend from elementary school whom you’ve lost touch with long ago).

How convenient.

It’s a beautiful night
It’s a bright day
Which am I in your memory?

We often say, the only thing we can really keep is our memory. We are wrong.

Think about your best friend from elementary school, your high school sweetheart, or anyone you used to spend so much time with. Can you recall most of the things you did together? Can you remember his/her name? Do you even remember what his/her face looked like?

Just this morning, I woke up and walked to a convenience store nearby to grab some breakfast. I was paying at the counter, and the girl next to me said, “One latte, please.” Her tone of voice was just like saying, “A newspaper, please.”

Since when has coffee become such a daily necessity on this island? I began to wonder. Am I the only one who doesn’t drink coffee?
